Seeraga Samba
Cumin Samba is one of the traditional rice varieties of south India. The shape of the rice looks like cumin seeds. Since it resembles the shape of Cumin it is named as cumin Samba. Seeraga Samba is an aromatic rice variety from Southern India highly preferred for preparing biriyani. This variety rice is rich in quality, price and medicinal values. This rice variety is highly resistant to pest and disease and also highly drought resistant variety.
- Seeraga samba ricecontains selenium which helps to prevent the cancer of colon and intestine. It has got more fiber and anti-oxidant which helps to remove free radicals from colon and intestine. It also has phytonutrients which help to fight breast cancer and strengthens the heart.
- The oil in the seeraga rice reduces the cholesterol. It is rich in fiber hence, reduces the LDL cholesterol and increases HDL in the body.
